The Social Contract of Scent
Fragrance is an extension of your personal space. In public settings, your scent should only be detectable within your 'inner circle' (about an arm's length). Over-spraying can be invasive and, for some, can trigger allergies or migraines. The goal is to be 'discovered,' not 'announced.' If people can smell you before you enter a room, you have likely overstayed your welcome. Scent is a privilege, not a right. Respect the olfactory boundaries of others.
Situation-Specific Spraying
Context is everything. For an outdoor wedding or a nightclub, 4-5 sprays of a stronger scent are acceptable. For a job interview, a funeral, or a confined office space, 1-2 sprays of a light, clean scent are the absolute maximum. In high-end restaurants, avoid wearing heavy gourmands or spicy scents, as they can interfere with the olfactory experience of the food for you and those around you. We show you how to use our 10ml atomizers to apply just the right amount for every occasion. [Learn the rules](https://essentia-perfume.com).
