Tailoring the Elite

The House of Creed began in London in 1760 as a tailoring house. They didn't start with perfume; they started with custom-made leather gloves and riding habits for King George III. It was the scent of the leather that led them into fragrance. Legend says the King loved the smell of his Creed gloves so much that he commissioned the first Creed fragrance, Royal English Leather.

A Move to Paris

In 1854, at the request of Empress Eugénie of France, the house moved its headquarters to Paris. This move solidified their status as the 'perfumer to the royalty'. For over a century, Creed remained a best-kept secret among the global elite, known only to heads of state, celebrities, and old-money families.

The Modern Explosion

Everything changed in 2010 with the release of **Aventus**. While Creed had successful scents before (like Green Irish Tweed and Silver Mountain Water), Aventus became a cultural phenomenon. It bridged the gap between niche artistry and mass-market appeal, turning Creed into a household name for luxury fragrance enthusiasts.
