What does vanilla smell like?

Warm, sweet, and creamy with balsamic and slightly smoky undertones. Natural vanilla has a richness and complexity that synthetic vanillin simply cannot replicate.

About Vanilla

Vanilla is the most universally loved note in perfumery, and honestly, it is not hard to see why. The scent is warm, comforting, and instantly familiar. Real vanilla comes from the cured seed pods of the Vanilla planifolia orchid, and getting those pods ready for use is an incredibly labor-intensive process. Each flower has to be hand-pollinated (there is only one species of bee in Mexico that does it naturally), and the curing process takes months. That is why genuine vanilla extract is the second most expensive spice in the world after saffron. In fragrance, vanilla adds sweetness, warmth, and depth. It is the foundation of countless iconic perfumes and works beautifully in both men's and women's compositions.
